Week in review

I went to the Y on Saturday for my usual 90 min “endurance cycling” class. Upon arrival, I remembered that this week’s class was not the usual 90 minutes, but rather it was 2 and a half hours. There is an indoor ride coming up called Ridin’ For Research, and the Saturday cycle class is in training for the event. Being that my schedule only called for a one hour bike (high cadence), I didn’t plan to stay for the entire class. But then I noticed that the instructor had gone through a lot of trouble for this. He brought orange wedges, bananas, cereal bars, and even door prizes! So how could I leave? I ended up staying through to the end, and I even won a prize:

It looked just like this but with a Valentine’s heart theme. I say “looked” because as soon as I got it home, the fiance opened it, and the ball remained attached for approximately 3 minutes before the elastic broke. So all in all, it was a good workout, though I did skip my Sunday strength training to let my legs recover a bit.
